Applications for the 2013-14 school year will be accepted beginning March 7, 2013.
Open Enrollment for the 2013-2014 school year will begin on March 7, 2013 and close April 15, 2013. If the number of applications submitted within this period of time exceeds the number of available seats available for any grade level, a system generated, random lottery will be processed in order to determine who is offered a seat at the school. All applications submitted within the Open Enrollment period will have an equal opportunity for admission, regardless of whether they are submitted on the first day or the last day of Open Enrollment.
Open Enrollment is now closed, if you submitted an application on or before April 15, 2013 you will be entered into the lottery for grades K- 6. You will be receiving a letter with a Lottery ID Number in the mail. All parents are invited to attend the public lottery being held on Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Charles Mack Citizens Center located at 215 North Main Street, Mooresville, North Carolina 28115. After the "Open Enrollment" window, applications will continue to be accepted and admission will be offered based on the order in which the application is received. If a lottery is required and your application was not submitted within the “Open Enrollment” window, your application will be positioned on the waitlist in the order in which it is received.

Applications received during the "Open Enrollment" window will receive a letter with an assigned Lottery ID Number for grades K – 6. A Public Lottery will be held on Wednesday, Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at the Charles Mack Citizens Center located at 215 North Main Street, Mooresville, North Carolina 28115 at the following times:
Grade K – 8:00 AM
Grade 1 – 9:00 AM
Grade 2 – 9:30 AM
Grade 3 – 10:00 AM
Grade 4 – 10:30 AM
Grade 5 – 11:00 AM
Grade 6 – 11:30 AM
If you are unable to attend, the lottery results will be posted below, and the first round of offers will be extended to all of the applicants selected in the lottery process. An official offer will be extended to the applicants selected in the lottery process via letter, email, or phone call. They will have one week (7 days), starting from their offer date, to either accept or decline the extended offer. If they do not respond within this timeframe, the seat will be rescinded and offered to an applicant on the waiting list.
Should an applicant not get selected in the lottery process, they will automatically be placed on the waiting list. As seats become available, applicants on the waiting list will receive offers. Therefore, an applicant that is not selected in the lottery will not receive any formal communication from the school until they are extended an offer via letter, email, or phone call.
